In service to

the heart of the Earth

and restoring love and compassion in sacred ways.

My name is Stephanie Jo Bours Flores. I was born in January 1989 in the city of West Covina, California. When I was a couple years old, my family and I moved to Lilburn, Georgia as a family of 4 with my sister Samantha Sarah and parents Miguel Francisco and Jo Ann. We would move back to California and make a home in Carlsbad to complete our family of 5, now with my youngest sister, Sophia Michelle.

I was born in the lands of the Tongva tribal people, would live on Cherokee lands when we were in Georgia and come back to live amongst the Luiseno and Tongva land. In seeing and honoring the original inhabitants of all lands I’ve lived on and continue to live on, I have grown my connection to my ancestors and to Mother Earth and how she was honored before colonial acts began in the Americas. This conscious shift to handle the land, the elements and life with more care brought me to the frequency of the heartbeat of the Earth, uncovering a new pulse beating within me.

The new pulse beats to her rhythms, cycles, seasons, and I continue to follow a path aligned to her nature, and our cosmic guides above.

I became blessed in a marriage to my one true love, Luis Sergio Flores, with 2021 being the year we made our sacred union amongst the lands of Baja California, the vineyards on Kumeyaay and Kiliwa lands. Our marriage has withstood tests of time, patience and deeper understanding in the weaving of our lives and our continued journey hand in hand.

It would be after walking through this great passage of life that I would walk through two more that set me on a path of what brought me to SJ Earth Medicine, in her fullest capacity.

My background includes receiving standard K-12 education and a higher education at Loyola Marymount University culminating in 2011. From here, I earned positions in marketing research, creative digital marketing, event management, online storytelling and social media brand management in the school transportation, cancer research, non-profit and entertainment industries.

One day, I would be pulled to practice yoga. I would grow to need this practice as part of my daily life and next participate in training to deepen my understanding of its origins in India. Yoga made its way to these lands in the 1900’s, and for that I am grateful, however I see many ways for the practice to be restored to its original intention in the Western World.

Around my marriage, I began going deeper into my family history and reconnecting to my ancestors and their stories. I explored my lineage’s health outcomes and learned through my lived experiences what it is I wanted and felt I needed to do with this knowledge. I felt called to begin a new path and to start a business around Yoga and energy healing and once I made a strong commitment, I would learn to co-create with Mother Earth, to serve with my heart and go where she led me.

She led me to an initiation into practicing earth-based medicine in 2023 with Marilu Shinn of Kawak Energy Medicine and through Ximena Rios Hernandez of Maachi Maa, becoming a Medicine Woman and Guardiana of the Chumpi womb belt. A magical path of synchronicity, of sacred service to Pachamama, Mother Earth in Quechua helped me remember I am on a mission to create bridges and reclaim earth wisdom that pulses through all of us and felt when we open to connect to her frequency. The future of healing includes being in right relationship with our Earth Mother, and my offers stem from walking in balance with my feminine nature and from these initiations under the Inca, Andean and Quechua Cosmovision and wisdom of the Chakana, the Inca Medicine Wheel. It is because of a lineage living in the Highlands of Peru named the Q’ero I was given access to this sacred knowledge. To their family and to the Inca tribe, I hold deep reverence for every day on my path.
